After several months of meticulous hard work, the preliminar Jury has selected the 110 games that will move on to the next step of the Archimede Prize 2021. Here they are, strictly in alphabetical order! Soon will be available the (virtual!) exhibition with all the selected games.

Premio Archimede 2020 again extended
1 December 2020: given the numerous requests from authors who have had difficulties in play-testing due to Covid-19, we decided to REOPEN the deadline for SIGNING UP and for sending the prototypes from 1st December 2020 to 28th February 2021.

24 November 2020: Dario De Toffoli was invited by Play Res to be the speaker of the first of four online training meetings for board game facilitators. He will tell us about the mechanisms behind gambling.

November 2020: it might be the posticipation to 2021, it might even be the forced stay-at-home, but the fact is that the Premio Archimede 2020 has marked an incredible record of participation: we received 202 prototypes, I mean, 202!
Ciao Teodomiro Dal Negro
11 November 2020: Teodomiro Dal Negro, known as Miro, sadly passed away. With him, we had in the 80s and 90s an intense, fruitful and fun collaboration.
In Lex Arcana we dedicated the character of Emperor Theodomirus to him, who opens the game with his speech to the Senate.

Vite in gioco
November 2020: the International Team made the history of games in Italy, and Marco Donadoni was its soul and body. Inside Vite in gioco, Marco collected the memories of many friends (among which there is a small contribution by Dario De Toffoli).
Lex Arcana RPG 2020 finalist
8 October 2020: Lex Arcana is a "Gioco di Ruolo dell'Anno 2020" prize (role-playing game prize) finalist. The jury has nominated five finalists between 22 games in competition. This year, a participation record!
Herbert Feuerstein is died
6 October 2020: Herbert Feuerstein, a famous German TV personality, is died. We remember him as president of J.P. Halvah Foundation, created by Alex Randolph (with his cat's name!) to help the up-and-coming game authors. The Foundation was our partner for Premio Archimede, on this page you can see a video with a chat between Randolph and Feuerstein in 1994 in Venice.

Premio Archimede 2020 extended
10 April 2020: considering the coronavirus health emergency, we decided to reopen the terms of the competition. The deadline for REGISTERING and sending us the prototypes is extended to the 31st of October, 2020 and the final ceremony is postponed to a future date in 2021, which is yet to be defined.
