Old London Bridge
London, 1136: the great wooden bridge over the Thames was destroyed by fire.
Players take on the role of architects, each rebuilding a section of the new bridge. The foundations are built of stone, so that they are strong enough to support many different buildings. A competition is born to see who builds the most beautiful section, to be crowned the most creative architect.
By playing the character cards, you will contribute to the construction of the game’s 3D bridge.
Buildings must be constructed with house numbers, each house has a stem which will grant special abilities, new character cards and increase the player’s income. The architect who has the most money at the end of the game is the winner.
Old London Bridge is a light to medium complexity game, with a special bidding and building mechanism, variable victory conditions, and a cute 3D cardboard bridge to build while playing!
It was developed starting from a game that participated at Premio Archimede 2018.
Old London Bridge was published thanks to its attendance to Premio Archimede
