4-7 July 2002: Mogens Knudsen from Danmark won the 14th “City of Venice” International Backgammon Tournament held in Ca’ Vendramin Calegi, the historical 1500 palace on the Gran Canal, which hosts the glamorous Casino of Venice.

5-8 July 2001: Jakov Nepomniatchy from Moscow won the 13th “City of Venice” International Backgammon Tournament held in the glamorous setting of the Casino at the Lido of Venice. Second place for the italian Carlo Melzi.
