Ciao
Alex,
yuo'll always be our President
To
the participants of Premio Archimede 2004
Most of you already knows that Alex Randolph, the president of the
jury of the Premio Archimede, is no more with us.
He was the Master of all of us, the one who invented the profession
of games inventor.
If you want, you can leave a message in the web site www.venice-connection.com.
Niek Neuwahl is the new president.
And now a communication about the
Premio Archimede.
Suddenly FieraMilano (the Milano's Fair) decided that Egiexpo2004
- the event which would have hosted the final phases of the prize
- has been delayed at other date.
We confirm that the final phases will in any case be organized with
the same programme - workshop included. We are already activated
to find an appropriate alternative and will inform you as soon as
possible about the new dates and the new venue.
In any case we are proud to inform you that this edition of the
Premio Archimede reached the record attendance of over 130 protothipes,
whose level seems to be very very good.
So, congratulations to all of you and please do accept our apologies
for this problem: we hope it will not create too much inconveniences.
The jury

In addition to the Archimede Award the jury will bestow a special
Sebastiano Izzo citation and numerous other prizes:awards
and various prizes will be offered to all inventors who will receive
a nomination.
The jury is chaired by Niek Neuwahl and composed
by Spartaco Albertarelli, Giuseppe Baù, Leo Colovini, Dario De Toffoli,
Paolo Fasce, Ennio Peres and Dario Zaccariotto. Secretary will be
Stefano Mondini and Massimo Tonizzo.
To participate please send the prototype(s) not later than
March 15, 2004 April 30, 2004.
For each game accepted for the competition a valutation report and
a certificate of participation (which states the presentation of
the game in that date) will be released.
All the authors will receive a gift for their participation.
Reports on the best games will be sent to all Italian game manufacturers.
All the finalist games will be exhibited during
the summer in the Musée
Suisse du Jeu in the castle of La Tour de Peilz.
