Neuwahl (president) is a well-known Dutch author,
a worldwide recognized expert in the field of topologic games. From
1997 to 1999 Neuwahl was the president of SAZ (Spiele Autoren Zunft),
the most important international association of games authors
Spartaco Albertarelli is the responsible of R&D
of Editrice Giochi, but he also creates games as free lance: so
far he published more than 100, in each category. He was awarded
with various prizes.
Giuseppe Baù is a game expert and fan. He
represented Italy in 5 edition of Intergame, the European Board
games Championship.
Leo Colovini is the best-known Italian games designer
and he follows full time the company Venice Connection. To be remembered
his Carolus Magnus (2000) and Clans (2003), the only games designed
by an Italian author that got the “noomination” for
the Spiel des Jahres.
Dario De Toffoli created studiogiochi. journalist
and games designer himself, he wrote various books about games and
has one the biggest Italian collections of games and books. He won
the gold medal in Pentamind (the combined event of 5 different games)
in 2002 during the 6th Mind Sports Olimpiad.
Paolo Fasce is the president of the Labyrinth Club
in Genua, one of the long-lived and active Italian clubs; he is
a journalist and also organizes various games events
Marco Maggi and Francesco Nepitello are two inseparabile authors who have been collaborating for 20 years. Among their titles, a standing out one is the recent award winner "The war of the ring", based on Tolkien work.
Michel Matschoss started his carriere in the game
business in the Seventies
by launching the legendary 3M Bookshelf Games in Europe. Together
with Alex
Randolph he developed the most successful game Sagaland and finally
took the
challenge 5 years ago to build the german subsidiary of Winning
Moves - so
far with good success.
Ennio Peres is an Italian journalist, matematician
and anagrams expert and wrote various books about these subjects.
He is well-known for his battles to correctly define the date of
the change of millennium.
Ulrich Schaedler is the director of the Swiss Museum
of Games. He is also co-editor of the international journal “Board
Game Studies” and member of the “Initiative Group Königstein”,
a research group of chess-historians. He certainly belongs to the
most renowned experts in the culture history of games, especially
of Ancient and Medieval times.
Dario Zaccariotto is a games expert who works with
studiogiochisi; he is a specialist of games entertainment, but is
unrivalled in shooting insane word jokes.

The Premio Archimede features an important new: at any edition the international jury will be joined by 2 worldwide known "guest members", to increase the prestige.

Frank Weiss, has been with Ravensburger since 1999. For the first years he used to work as an editor for Family and Adult Games. He was responsible for the games San Marco, Marco Polo and Verflixxt, just to mention a few. Since April 2006 Frank has become Product Manager for Family and Adult Games for Germany. He is a passionate games-lover.
special prize STUDENTS
Gigi Pescolderung, architect Gianluigi Pescolderung founded in 1979 Studio Tapiro, together with Enrico Camplani. Author and designer, he is also professor for visual art and communication at the IUAV University of Venice. In 1988 he got in Germany the prize for the best packaging project for a board game.
