DID YOU CREATE A NEW GAME?

Did you create a new game? Would you like to show it to us? Here is what to do:
Send us an email with a short description of the game and its
mechanism.
If we think that the game contains interesting and innovative mechanism and  that we can develop it successfully, we will ask you to send us the rules which should be brief, clear and complete.
If we confirm the project's potential, we will ask you to send us a prototype that should be complete, functional (so it can be played easily), easy to transport and contained in a proper box (similar to the ones that contain the games sold in the stores). No sophisticated graphics are necessary.
The prototype will be tested and depending on the results we will decide if we will work on it or not. If we decide to do so, you will receive a contract offer. Please be patient: the evaluation period can sometimes be long.
Once we are in agreement, we will develop the game in close collaboration with you, and will present it to many publishers. If we did our job well and have a little bit of luck, your idea could become a commercial reality.
Unsolicited prototypes won't be considered. Prototypes cannot be returned. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of any package in the post.

Don’t give up if we reject your project: we can only consider the games that we think have a chance of success.
You should also not be discouraged by rejections from publishers: many very famous games (Rubik's cube, Magic) received many refusals before making it big!

Conditions
We are not publishers, but agents who improve and develop the product; we are in contact with publishers from Italy and from other countries, especially from Germany.
We only take games that have never been proposed to any publisher before.
We only accept games with exclusive global rights.
We don't pay in advance, but we take on the risks and cover expenses.
In case of publication we generally get 50% of the royalties.
The creative team may make major changes to the game; its creator is involved in the process, but the final decisions will be taken by studiogiochi.

Protection
In this field copyright has no real value: it is a waste of time and money.
Games are essentially ideas and ideas are legally not defendable: proof of this fact are the many unpunished cases of "clones" that have damaged multinational companies even though they had very good lawyers and legal protection.
The only real protection for a new game  that hasn't yet become an international success is to know personally the people that you contact. The “games community” is a small world, and most of its members are honest and nice people who are passionate about their job: the many years of interaction and friendship between studiogiochi and the people that work in this area is the greatest guarantee for a new game.

Premio Archimede
Every two years studiogiochi organizes the
Premio Archimede, the most important international competition for non professional games authors. It is a great opportunity to show a game not only to studiogiochi but also to some of the most important international publishers.  (PREMIO ARCHIMEDE)
