Nine the teams that played in Gradara for this Tournament organized by Agonistica, that saw more than 3.500 players taking part in it in the entire country, which is equal to about 600 teams.

Five the teams that took part in the very final of the Championship, whose initial phases have been played in Genova, Cagliari, Venezia, Torino and Verona, with a total of about 200 registered players.

The success of this chinese game is confirmed  (more than 120 participants). In Italy it is mostly played around the area of Ravenna; the curiosity for this game is also due to the very beautiful pieces used in it.

To reach the final phase, the 8 selected children had to go through two other phases (that took place in about 200 elementary schools), and win the regional semifinals of Ancona, Bari, Firenze, Milano, Napoli, Roma, Torino and Venezia, each one of them with 32 participants. The first three places won also the right to participate to the European Championship ‘92/’93 that will take place on the 16th of January in the city of Ravensburg in Germany.

The selections of this trophy involved about 6.000 children from elementary and middle schools of the area, with tournaments in class as well as tournaments in the main place. 500 children participated to the final phases and the very final has been played on a huge board with a deafening cheer.

Conducted by the popular Marco Danè, the Tournament  attracted a crowd of curious people, renewing the glories of the same tv program. And the winner, as predicted, has been Gino Lisi, considered by everyone the strongest tv champion of the many years of running of the show.
